Our Team

Steele Jones, CPA, CVA, MAFF (915) 304-5124

Steele Jones has been in public practice since 1976, starting his career in Las Cruces, New Mexico. In 1982, he formed his own practice, providing traditional accounting services of tax compliance and planning, accounting and auditing services and business consulting to closely-held businesses and individuals.

Since 1998, Steele and his firm have provided assistance to privately-held businesses and their owners in the areas of valuations and succession planning. He has valued business interests for purposes of divorce, lost profits calculations, gift and estate planning, employee dishonesty claims and shareholder disputes. He has testified in both federal and state courts as an expert witness. Steele holds a Bachelors degree in Accountancy from The University of Texas at Austin. He received his CPA Certificate in 1977, and in 1998 received the Certified Valuation Analyst designation from the National Association of Certified Valuators and Analysts (NACVA).

Steele has been active in support of the community. He has at various times served as chairman of the YMCA of Metropolitan El Paso, the El Paso County Sheriff's Posse, and Border Swimming. In addition, he has served on boards of directors for the YMCA of El Paso Foundation and the UTEP Alumni Association, and is currently a member of UTEP's Development Board.

In addition to his professional experience and community support, Steele has a deep interest in sports, animals and wine. From 1972 through 2000, he officiated basketball and football games at high school and college level. These days you will find Steele spending his weekends either riding his horse or making his own wine.

Kym Anderson, CPA, CGMA (915) 304-5128

Kym has more than 35 years’ experience in public accounting firms as an employee, partner and owner. As a CPA, she has been honored locally and statewide by her peers. She is a Past Chairman of the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants. She has served on the National Boards of The American Society of Women Accountants and The Educational Foundation for Women in Accounting.

She was the first recipient of the ASWA National President’s Balance Award in recognition for her work with life/balance issues in the accounting workplace. She was part of the Ambassador program promulgated by the AICPA, to enhance the public's understanding of the accounting field and the standards to which its members must adhere.

She has provided continuing professional education through state societies, American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Institute of Management Accountants. She has published articles in national professional journals as well as providing articles to local news agencies.

She believes in service to our clients, her profession and her community. On top of that, she has been married to the same man for more than thirty-five years and still likes him!

Delia Nunez (915) 304-5123

Delia holds a Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy with a minor in Finance from the New Mexico State University, Las Cruces, New Mexico.

Delia brings over 18 years of public and private accounting experience. Her area of expertise includes consolidations, multi-state filings, research and consulting. She has extensive experience in international taxation. Delia has assisted multinational clients conducting business both in and outside the United States. She has helped implement expatriate programs for US employees working in Mexico and assessed the impact of tax treaties.

Raquel Valles (915) 304-5126

Raquel holds a Master’s degree in Finance from Tecnológico de Monterrey campus Ciudad Juárez. The Diploma has been certified by International Education Evaluations, Inc. (members of NAFSA: Association of International Educators and the American Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers (AACRAO) to an equivalent of a MBA in the United States.

Raquel has over 10 years of experience in public accounting, she worked in Deloiite as a member of the audit function. In this position Raquel audited several clients in the manufacturing Industry, calculating their domestic taxes and participated in special SOX reviews. In her career, Raquel has been in charge of the planning, supervision and execution of audits in the Non-Public, Governmental and the Non-Profit fields. Raquel has 8 years of experience in audits of compliance, including Uniform Guidance (former OMB A-133), Federal Contracts and other specific requirements such as Agreed Upon Procedures engagements.

As part of the Accounting and Auditing department in our firm, Raquel’s work is to verify the compliance with national and international standards and requirements. High-quality standards increase the comparability, consistency, clarity, credibility, and transparency of financial information. And, high-quality financial information, in turn, increases the stability of the businesses infrastructure.

Isabel Arenas-Gabilondo (915) 304-5129

Isabel holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Phoenix.

Isabel has over 18 years of experience in individual income tax return preparation as well as 11 years in providing personalized assistance to clients in their day-to-day bookkeeping needs. Isabel is skillful utilizing various document management software such as CCH Engagement, Acct1st and Thomson Reuters CS Professional suite. Isabel is fluent in English and Spanish.
